The Young Guns will be playing 9u competitive baseball for the 2007 Fall and 2008 Spring season. We play league in Broken Arrow and Jenks. Our team competes in tournaments throughout N. E. Oklahoma.
The 2007 Spring Season is in the books. Now it is time to look forward to the fall and next spring season as we move up to kid pitch. Over the last 4 years we have been working toward this season. More than half the team has been together for 3 or 4 years which I think shows that we are doing something right.
The Young Guns will have a couple of spots open on the team and will be having tryouts throughout the summer and fall. We have several kids already trying out but we will give the opportunity to all who are interested for as long as we can keep it open. In the fall and going into next spring the Young Guns will continue the same philosophy we have used for the last 4 years. We will teach our kids the great game of baseball. The coaches will demonstrate the good sportsmanship we expect from our boys and their parents. Our practices will be very progressive with the foundation being the time proven fundamental aspects of the game. It is said that defense wins championships and I agree. We will however continue with our aggressive offensive style to take advantage of our championship defense.
